If I Were A Bird
If I were a bird
I’d drop a lowly turd
On those who do me harm
With cold pretentious charm.
It’s not because I’m bold
Or growing ever old
I just have had enough
Of those who think they’re tough.
I understand their drive
Amongst our social hive
They want to leave a mark
Like Benchley’s famous shark.
But in their zeal for purpose
They forget how much they hurt us
And go about their days
In horrid selfish ways.
But life has ways of dealing
With those of little feeling
And in their daily problems
They’ll meet their ghosts and goblins.
So keep in mind you dogs
You snakes and rats and hogs
Your future won’t look great
If dealt a hand from fate.

If I were a bird, I’d turd on you!
