Off To The Races
Now these weren’t just any races, or any racers. Petty, Earnhardt and Foyt don’t hold a candle to the new breed of asphalt astronauts out there these days.
Mickey Thomson employees were treated to a field trip Thursday. They not only got payed for the day, they got to play that day. 10 of them headed out to Norwalk Raceway early in the morning to receive tutelage and hands on training for some high performance drag racing.

Miss Leann was one of the lucky ones selected.
Leann came in second place in timed races.
The cars are still about 720hp but the throttles are governed to make them safer for the students. She was still able to hit 125mph in 11 seconds. Vrooom, Vrooom, Vrooom!
Mark, I am your father, er, mother!
Unfortunately, they can’t drag together. Full certfication must first be earned. Whoa, watch those hands mister!
Nancy’s looking mighty fine also in her designer race track apparel. She almost looks like a fighter pilot.
